Jojoba Ester
Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil
A liquid wax rather than a true oil, jojoba doesn't oxidise and won't clog pores. Its molecular structure mirrors the skin's own sebum, making it one of the most compatible cleansing bases available. It dissolves oil-based SPF and long-wear pigments without destabilising the barrier lipid matrix — the mechanism that makes it fundamentally different from conventional cleansing oils.

Olive-Derived Squalane
Squalane is already present in young skin's sebum. As we age, its natural production declines — and with it, one of the skin's key self-lubricating and barrier-supporting lipids. How to use
On dry skin,
before water.
Apply dry, to dry skin
Dispense 3–4 pumps onto dry fingertips and apply to a completely dry face. Water immediately begins emulsifying the oil on contact — applying to wet skin reduces its ability to fully dissolve SPF filters and long-wear pigments.
Massage for 60 seconds
Work across the face in slow, firm circles for a full 60 seconds. This is the minimum time needed to dissolve SPF filters and break down oil-based pigments. Rushing this step is why cleansing oils leave residue.
Emulsify with water
Add a small amount of water to your hands and continue massaging. The oil will turn milky — this is emulsification, the process that allows it to rinse completely clean without leaving residue on the skin.
Rinse, then apply serum within 60 seconds
Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Pat dry immediately and apply Silkdrop or your serum of choice within 60 seconds while skin is still damp — the barrier is most receptive to actives in this window.
