Jojoba Ester
Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil
A liquid wax rather than a true oil, jojoba doesn't oxidise and won't clog pores. Its structure mirrors the skin's own sebum, making it one of the most compatible cleansing bases available — dissolving oil-based SPF and long-wear pigments without destabilising the barrier lipid matrix.
Squalane
Olive-Derived Squalane
Squalane is already present in young skin's sebum, but natural production declines with age. Added topically, it replenishes that deficit, leaving a weightless protective layer that survives the rinse and actively supports barrier function through the cleanse itself.
Sea Buckthorn CO₂ Extract
Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Oil
One of the densest sources of skin-active carotenoids in botanical skincare. Used at a precision low dose, it contributes omega-7 fatty acids — rarely found in other plant oils — that are directly involved in the skin's own barrier-repair processes, which is why Nova leaves skin visibly softer, not just cleaner.
How to use
On dry skin,
before water.
Apply dry, to dry skin
Dispense 3–4 pumps onto dry fingertips and apply to a completely dry face — water begins emulsifying the oil on contact, so applying to wet skin reduces its ability to dissolve SPF and long-wear pigments.
Massage for 60 seconds
Work across the face in slow, firm circles for a full 60 seconds — the minimum time needed to dissolve SPF filters and break down oil-based pigments.
Emulsify with water
Add a little water to your hands and continue massaging. The oil turns milky — this emulsification is what lets it rinse completely clean, without residue.
Rinse, then apply serum within 60 seconds
Rinse until the water runs clear. Pat dry and apply Silkdrop or your serum within 60 seconds while skin is still damp — the barrier is most receptive to actives in this window.
